Hi! I'm Janine!


I'm the Founder and Instructor of YoGa with Janine.

I have loved movement my entire life.  Growing up, I was always active and participated in as many sports as I could.


In my third year of college, I took my first yoga class, and it opened up a whole new world for me.  It gave me the opportunity to relax and catch my breath after a stressful day at school.  I took a few years off from yoga but returned to my mat with the desire to learn correct alignment to prevent injury, increase flexibility, and strengthen in a safe way.  I loved how yoga made me feel comfortable in my body, which is why I decided to complete my 200-hour-Yoga Teacher Training at South Mountain Yoga.   Becoming a yoga instructor has given me the chance to help others feel comfortable and accepting of their own bodies.

When I am not teaching and practicing yoga, I am a black belt Kung fu instructor and competitor.  I have a green/yellow cord in capoeira, and I take ballet and modern dance classes.  


Janine makes yoga accessible yet challenging. She is infinitely patient and incredibly down to earth; she's comfortable working with people at just about every level. I dig her.
